I was out and about so I figured I would take my Ford in and talk to someone in the Service Department about changing the keypad code on my driver's side door. After having my code card to the car stolen in a burglary last year, I knew I really needed to get the code changed for safety reasons as well as my sanity.
I explained my situation to the service advisor and he knew just what was needed. First he told me it is a free service to do and that he'd be glad to have it taken care of for me. I waited inside while the techs took my car and within 30 minutes, someone came to let me know my car's code was changed and the guy gave me a piece of paper with the new code written down on it.
The guy took me right to where my car was waiting and had me try out the code to make sure it would activate and it worked. I thanked them and went on my way.
