| - The $200 security "deposit" turned out to be not only "moving out fees", without our knowledge, but we ended up having to pay more AFTER we moved out because Flagstone apartments allows 3rd party vendors to come in and inspect without witnesses. The lack of transparency allows the vendors to make money off of the renters. My roomate and I lived there for 6 months, caused no damage, and were even polite about the fact that the staircase was like a trampoline since the shaft using to prop it up was uprooted from the ground. Flagstone charged us for carpet cleaning, carpet stretching, lights, and the drip pan. The utilities are overpriced for the size of the unit due to their antiquated water and electric system.
When I went to process the final unnecessary payment, Greystar still made it difficult because my account was "invalid" online. When I called, they charge extra for using debit/credit card (which they require for payment. . .). Flagstone is managed by Greystar. Greystar is located in Seattle, WA and one of several management teams that is managed by another management conglomerate based out of Chicago. Navigating this system renders you insignificant. Due to their apathy toward renters and unethical practices, I would not consider renting from any Greystar managed property.
