  • Got my new garage door and opener. I don't know a ton about garage doors, but originally I wanted just an opener. Average cost is $389 (I called 7 different places) Well 3 came out and all said I needed a new whole door. Bummer....my cost went from $389 to $1,300 and UP. I'm writing this review cause I have to mention A1 came out first. They said there was NO POSSIBLE WAY, to install a standard opener. It would HAVE to be a side opener for $659!!! (That's just the opener) another $1,000 for the door. They proceeded to tell me that if I didn't do this fancy one, I couldn't have an opener at all. They finished with a statement I felt was very wrong, "Don't use these small mom & pop "family owned local" shops, you want a company like ours, big name brand and we can match prices. JDT- came out and responded within minutes to my quote request. They were very friendly. Didn't try to sell me their business by throwing another under the bus. I felt like I was dealing with "friends" not just some business dudes trying to make a sell. They WERE ABLE TO, install a standard opener, at the $389 and fix my door. They saved me $$$. Their only concern was with what I needed done and they did it. Very happy with JDT! Thanks guys! Saved me $ and installed something A1 said was impossible for them to do. I am very grateful.
