  • This place is a Montreal institution serving smoked meats for almost a century. There's a reason why it's been doing so - it tastes good. I had the classic smoked meats sandwich. It's a lot of meat for very little bread and I suppose that's why North Americans love such places, but my European palette would have loved a bigger trenche du pain and mibbe some peppers, onions and tomato in the mix. That said the staff were friendly and it tastes good. So alls well that ends well. I'm glad I went.
