I'll start off by saying if you are expecting the same as their original NYC cart, you will need to curb your expectations. I ordered the combo platter which is chicken and beef gyro plate with salad, rice and slices of pita bread covered in their famous white sauce and hot sauce. The taste was good, although not as good as NYC, it's the closest we have to there. Their hot sauce is no joke, so I suggest trying a little bit first before slathering it all over. I also wish that they had extra sauce bottles available for customers to add onto their food rather than having to ask, albeit during the grand opening, a staff member went to each table to give more white sauce.
My biggest issue is the pricing and portion sizes. I got the regular size which was $12.49, whereas the small size was $9.99. Now in NYC it's only one size and it would be equivalent to a regular here and you would need to add extra protein which costs $2.99. I understand that the prices here would be a bit higher but if that's the case then keep the portions the same as well. There is way too much salad, about half the plate whereas in NYC you only get about a quarter. Hope they improve their portions to justify their prices.
