  • The absolute best place to shop! Every time I have to go somewhere else to shop I'm amazed at how much more expensive everything is. One quick example, old fashioned oats at Aldi are $1.49. They were $2.99 at Giant Eagle. There are basically Aldi brand items for many popular products. Some favorites in our house are the penguin "goldfish" and the "Chex" cereal. I think my favorite product is the Indian sauces. The chicken tiki masala sauce is incredibly tasty and so easy to work with. Another area where Aldi excels is the cheese. They have a fairly large selection of artisanal cheeses that are incredibly tasty and very affordably priced. If you find one you like, make sure you stock up since many are seasonal. You are also never quite sure what you might find. I've purchased leggings, toddler socks, a cat scratching post, an office chair, a fan and a leaf blower, all while just shopping for groceries. This location is still one of the older model stores. Absolutely nothing wrong with the layout or how it is, it just feels crowded and dark compared to the remodels. The staff is also extremely courteous and helpful. They will always check if a product you want isn't on the shelf and seem to go out of their way to make customers happy. I definitely recommend giving Aldi a try. Your wallet will thank you.
