| - A few weeks ago, I opened a checking and savings account with Chase as I am moving out of the area in May and wanted banking services that were available at a national level. I chose Chase as I currently have two of their credit cards and I have had no issues in the five years that they were used. After opening the accounts, I made a deposit of roughly $6,000 from my previous account at my local bank. A few days after initiating this transfer I received a message indicating that the transfer was canceled. I further investigated and went online to my Chase account and found that it was locked. Thus, I called to figure out what was going on and no one seemed to know. Finally, after being transferred nine times (yes, I counted). I was told that I would have to go into a branch with two forms of identification to unlock my account. The only issue was that I was in India where there are no Chase branches. At this point in time, no one could tell me anything and I had no idea if my credit cards (which I have had for five years) worked at all. When I got back to the U.S. a few days ago I went into my local branch and was told that my recently opened accounts had been closed (again, I was not told why). Thus, I worked with a banker, who was very friendly and opened two new accounts. I again tried to deposit money into my new accounts as I was told by the banker that it would be fine, but the same issue occurred. This morning I went into a different Chase branch and was told that I was no longer considered a Chase customer and that I would never be able to open an account or even access my current online account again. I was not given a reason for this at all. Additionally, since I cannot use my online account I am not able to pay off my credit cards, view transactions, or do anything related. Throughout this entire process, the local bankers have been extremely friendly, but Chase as a whole failed me and provided no reasoning at all for their actions.
