| - Overall, 3 stars for the condition of hotel, comfort, location, and free WIFI & breakfast. This hotel was fairly easy to find, on the corner of Rene-Levesque & Rue Berri, very close to the metro & bus stops. I arrived at about 2:30PM, but the room wasn't ready. Luckily, I was able to leave my luggage in the luggage storage room. The front desk woman was friendly, informative, and spoke good English. I returned later at about 7PM and got checked in by a gentleman. He was also very informative and thorough in giving me instructions. I was given the wifi password and 2 tickets for breakfast for the 2 days I was staying there.
The elevator is slow, but it works. The room is a good size, a no-frills place. There are no toiletries, but there is a soap dispenser above the sink and in the shower. There is a microwave and fridge, and the fridge came in handy for me to put drinks in. The wifi worked perfectly while I was there. The morning breakfast consists of 2 kinds bread/toast, 2 kinds of cereal, some pastres, and some yogurt. For drinks, there are coffee, water, and juices. I just grabbed yogurt and packaged muffins both days I was there. Overall, the place is a bit worn, but I had a very comfortable stay. One complaint is the slamming of doors causing the whole floor to shake. Also, when leaving the room or coming back, make sure you shut the door completely. If I hadn't done that, anyone could have pushed the door open. The doors are as old as everything else in the hotel.
