I keep coming back to Mon Ami Gabi for lunch or dinner every time I'm in Las Vegas. I love the ambiance. It reminds me of many wonderful meals I've enjoyed in Parisian Brasseries. If the weather is not too warm there is no place I'd rather be in LV than Mon Ami's outdoor patio, sipping a glass of French wine, and devouring their wonderful French baguette served in an inviting white bag.
But wait! A restaurant is supposed to serve good food and provide service commensurate with their price tag - no?
Mon Ami needs a refresher course.
The hostess, server, and the busboy all read from the same script - addressing us with the horrible "you guys" phrase whenever they asked us a question - as in "What would "you guys" like to drink?" I hate that and if I owned a restaurant I would never allow my staff to utter the words "you guys". It's so low class - more suitable for a fast food restaurant or a gym locker room than a restaurant that charges nearly $100 with tip for two salads, and three drinks.
As for the food - It's a salad. Even Mon Ami can't screw that up!
Next time I'm in LV I know I'll stop in at Mon Ami Gabi for lunch, not dinner - if only to enjoy my wonderful memories of Paris.
