| - Nice staff, great variety, fair prices. Store is packed with selection, and is well organized. Fortunately during my time of visit, the day before Record Store Day, they had a half off sale on country (I wound up with a couple Willie Nelson albums, a Marty Robbins record, and I believe a Waylon Jennings album; I grab up anything I can by these guys).
Over the course of 45 minutes, I wound up with about 20 albums, the rest of which were classic rock, some ABBA, some Hall & Oates, Jeff Beck, Paul McCartney, that kind of thing. All were clean (with one exception), and had outer jackets. I indicated I wasn't emotionally attached to the album with a scratch, and I knew she had another in better shape for more ($8 as opposed to $6); she offered it for 4 and I took it. Can't remember which album it was off-hand, but I wasn't concerned it wasn't perfect.
Not a lot of parking (Resi area); is just off Sahara, so is easy to get back onto the street, only a couple cars can park in the driveway in front of the place. You will have to make a u-turn to get to it if you're coming North on the 15 and exit right to Sahara.
Take your time and know what you value things at (the periodic check on Amazon/eBay/Discogs for what they command helps).
Value-wise nothing has topped Sacramento and its Dimple Records chain, but I gotta give props for this area's mom and pop shop that was quite amicable and got it done. I hope they had a good Record Store Day turnout.
