I found the presentation and service at this tea court to be excellent. It is also located in a beautiful space in the Phoenician hotel with a great view. The tea sandwiches and scones were very good. I did find the dessert course to be a bit lacking. There was a good variety of sweets, but they were just okay and nothing special. Honestly, you are paying for the ambiance, service, and the fact that you are having tea at a resort in Scottsdale. I have had afternoon tea just as good, if not better elsewhere for half the price. I absolutely will happily dine out at restaurants that I love that are on the pricey side. I just prefer to get the whole package of amazing service, great ambiance, and fabulous cuisine. I wouldn't say that I would never return to the Phoenician for afternoon tea. However, I now know what to expect: pretty good food, excellent service at a super premium price.
