  • One of the worst car buying experiences imaginable. They put me in 2008 car with 500 dollars down that day, which seemed good on the surface. But that's not the total down...it was 1,500 down in total. I had to promise the other 1,000 In bi-weekly payments of 200.00. While still making my bi-weekly car payment of 250.00 in my case. For a total of 450.00 bi-weekly for 5 total payments till the down is done, then I'd move to just the bi-weekly payment of 250.00 for the remainder of the wretched contract. The vehicle would end up being 25,000 if I went the length of the contract!!!! Absurd terms I know, but sadly I was in dire need of a vehicle to get to work on Monday and this was a Saturday. I make decent money, so I figured I'd do it for a short time since it's basically a lease till the vehicle is paid off. And I falsely believed I had a lack of options with my credit situation. Little did I know I'd be gambling with my life. A week into driving the vehicle the check engine light came on. After a couple calls to the service department I finally get through, and they tell me to bring it on for diagnosis. They determine its a thermostat and have me make an appointment to bring it back. It wasn't running hot or anything, so I said ok. Having mechanical issues this early on was discouraging to say the least, but they got it taken care of. A few days later I'm driving to work when a tire blows out. The liner of the wheel well shreds, ripping out various wiring and I'm left on the gore point of the freeway with cars whizzing by me for 40 mins. Meanwhile incompetent Arizona DPS tries to find me. A cop blocks off the freeway ramp and gets me to the freeway shoulder. I had to pay a private tow company 80 dollars to get me off the freeway and to a nearby restaurant. I had a relative take me to work. I called ez own when they opened, and told them to pick up their POS at the restaurant. The woman in the service department has the audacity to tell me I'd end up paying for the tow back to the dealership and a new tire. On a car I had a week! Which obviously had worn used tires on it to begin with. I get off work and get a call in the afternoon telling me the car was ready to be picked up. All they did was put another (probably used) tire on it! They left the fender hanging, they did not reconnect the flood light that came undone, or check the transmission....I'm sure it had transmission issues after what happened. I told them to just keep it. I won't be getting back the 500 I put down after driving for only a week. According to another customer on the BBB site, they'll probably be coming after me for the remainder of the down payment. I believe it is of utmost importance I share this hellish experience with ez own auto source. Don't jeopardize your well being, and be bled dry financially by this horrible place. Your money is good anywhere, and theirs many reputable dealers that will actually care about you. Which I've learned the hard way. Don't consider this place please.
