  • I went in today for an oil change $9.99 They look up my car and tell me that due to it being a 2013 it takes synthetic oil which is $24. I look it up myself and sure enough it does say that for the model/year of my car, so fine no problem. After just a few min, they take my car into the bay and just after the mechanic pulls in my car and he gets out, he tosses his clipboard onto my car and down the front windshield. (I already didn't like how this was going, but still no real harm was done) So after he raises my car up, I'm watching the mechanic start to take my tires off. I yell to immediately stop and I go back inside to the desk and tell her to immediately have him stop what he's doing. I am here for an oil change, NOTHING else should be touched. The manager shows me on my initial estimate paperwork that it says free tire rotation I tell him I JUST had them rotated and she did not show that to me on my paperwork, and to please just do the oil change. While the mechanic is continuing, I look around inside and outside and there are no signs/banners/posters etc. saying anything about free tire rotation or brake check included with my oil change. It was mentioned on my paperwork after I took a closer look. I'm ok with it being on the paperwork as long as they say something and point it out along with my oil change, so that I can say yes sure or no I just had it done. So the rest of the job went fine, I get home and see on my paperwork it says PARTIALLY synthetic oil. What is PARTIALLY???? She didn't say PARTIALLY when she told me what kind of oil for my car, she said synthetic and that's what I paid for. I knew I should've looked at the bottle they used but I didn't. I think most of this visit has to do with a LOT of mis communication more than anything else. I don't necessarily feel they were misleading me or anything but they definitely didn't communicate things very well and it's perceived as distrust even if it wasn't intentional. I'm hesitant to give 3 stars but IF I go back, I'll be a lot more specific and follow up.
