  • I first moved to this area from Raleigh/Durham, and immediately searched for a Whole Foods, but to my dismay, I did not find one in the Charlotte area. Trader Joe's is the next best thing. Great for health nuts, foodies, and organic food lovers. Did I mention $3 wine? Even if you are not going to "grocery shop," this place is fun to go and browse. If you are a student or live alone, it is great for quick meals and single-sized portions.
