  • I have eaten here on numerous occasions over the years. And although it has been quite sometime since I have darkened the door step of this establishment, I must say that my opinion of it has not changed. It is a good steakhouse, but not a great one, and I personally believe it is undeserving of the rating it receives. A steak, fries, and asparagus can be a gastronomical event when prepared with the proper finesse. Unfortunately tonight's meal was merely a steak, fries, and asparagus. Apparently they were out of 'finesse'. The server was quite attentive, the wedge and Roquefort salad was well done, and all of the food arrived at the proper temp and was properly prepared. I felt the wine pours were a little shy considering the per glass charge, and it would've been nice to have had some higher end wines available by the glass. I arrived anticipating a much better meal then what I was served. And reminiscing of years ago when I more frequently visited this establishment, I recall feeling the same way every time. I so want to agree with the patrons that gush over this restaurant, but I just cannot. It is good, it is not great.
