  • After our normal weekly Saturday breakfast spot recently closed, we were on the hunt for a new spot. One of the people in our group raved about how good The Bagel Cafe was and we should start going there. Today was my first visit and will be the last! We were at our table for more than 15 minutes before a "bus girl" with a bad attitude and no name tag walked over and said "What do you want to drink?" Not even a hello, welcome, etc. When she brought our drinks she spilled scalding hot coffee on the arm of someone at our table and not even an apology. Completely unbelievable!! It was another 10+ minutes before our server came to take our order. Quite a long time when the restaurant wasn't even half full. From the time we walked in the door until our food was on our table was 55 minutes. Not acceptable. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs platter. It was just okay. I asked for over medium eggs and received soft poached. The fruit cup that was substituted instead of potatoes was 2 chunky pieces of pineapple and 2 chunky pieces of honeydew melon. The bagel and cream cheese was good. Overall I didn't think it was worth the total of $17.27 + tip. I'll be happy NOT to spend my money there again.
