| - I write very few reviews unless the service is stellar but today is the exception. Never again will our dogs visit this facility. Ever. Our dogs, two Bernese Mountain Dogs, were taken to the clinic today for grooming, wellness visit, vaccines, and heart worm testing. The dogs were to stay the day and were accepted into the "Doggie Daycare" to spend the day and have the services performed while we were at work. There is a charge os $25 per dog for daycare on top of the grooming and wellness treatments. We were told over and again how much play room there was for the dogs, with several different areas for the dogs to play. We were informed that the dogs would be "introduced" to each area and they would be allowed to play with other dogs that best suited each areas disposition. We were further informed that they were supervised at all times. During the day my wife received a call from the vet to inform us that our dog was "playing excessively and running" and had badly scraped up her paws to the point of requiring medical attention. The vet needed to clean the wounds and apply bandages. We arrived at the end of the day to pick up the dogs only to be informed that the required medical attention to our injured dog would actually cost us more than $100, including $24 for a small bandage, $18 for anti-inflammatory/pain medication, and $46 for a topical cream. We expressed our dismay that we would be asked to pay for medical service for our dogs injuries that happened while in the vets care, only to be told that they were not responsible for "excessive playing". Imagine taking your children to a paid daycare center, your child is injured while under their supervision, and the doctor that owns the daycare actually charging you $100+ for the first aid supplies. All told, our bill was over $700 today. On top of all of this, we never actually received the Tramadol, the Metacam, or the HeartGuard that we were actually charged for during the visit. Never again will this facility get a penny of our money.
