I was oh so disappointed in the Gilbert House. I really wanted to like this place and have a new "it" breakfast spot... The house itself is just so cute and quaint! The food was just bland and dull. I ordered the eggs benedict and my husband ordered the corn beef has. I was quite surprised at my eggs, the whites were watery and the yolk was cooked! What the heck? How do you manage to do that? The hollandaise sauce was on the watery sauce and tasted mostly like butter. My husband's corn beef hash was super salty and his over medium eggs were also watery (the egg white). If we go back, I'd like to their apple pancakes or an omelet.
