| - Okay, so I rated this hotel 2 stars initially, due to some serious lapses in customer service my family encountered here during our stay in late 2014. Then I updated my ranking of the Cosmo to 3 stars after they read my review and reached out to me, noting that they use reviews to improve their services and asking to make things right by us. I now have to update my review again, to a 5-star ranking, as my hubby and I did return to Vegas for a short stay, and our stay here was everything most other reviewers have written: luxurious, indulgent, posh. It was everything we expected from the Cosmo from the get-go. This time, they did not disappoint.
We got to the hotel around 10 or 11am, well before the 3pm check-in time. Joey at the front desk got us a room that was available at that time, so we didn't have to wait until 3pm. And wow, stunning, stunning room. (Well, I always said, even in my first review, that the hotel is gorgeous and the rooms well-appointed). What a beautiful room, with a large balcony and a bathroom that was as big as our living room and kitchen combined back home. We felt like royalty. (This was on my birthday and our anniversary, too, so it was a special trip for us. Our first, without the kids, too. Wow!). I just loved to death the bathroom: sunken hot tub overlooking the Strip and shower, with towel rack and shelving in the middle. A huge, tiled room. And as before, they had the loveliest lotions and potions (shower gels, shampoo, conditioners, soaps, in lavender and peppermint scents. Not to masculine, not too feminine. Just right for anyone. Refreshing. Nice formulations, too). The area with the double sinks had a luxe magnifying mirror for make-up applications, Q-tips and cotton balls, mouthwash and more. There were plush terry robes and slippers for our use. Great hairblower. Like before, we got a kick out of the wallpaper in the separate toilet room (you can see different...images, the closer you look. So look close! Then again, maybe it's just us...... Haha!).
The bed and pillows were so comfy and hubby read some of the cool table books in the room, presumably left as décor but hey, good reads! The closet was huge and we liked how there was an upholstered, large bench by the closets containing extra bed linens and pillows if needed.
At the front of the room was a living area with a large, plush sofa, chairs and coffee table, and a nearby microwave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher and cupboards. Across the way was a desk with all the work tools one might need to work.
There was contemporary artwork throughout. And the room was pristine clean throughout.
All I can say is: WOW.
Unlike at our last visit, we didn't see any room service trays in the hallways. Not a one.
The hallways were totally quiet at night. No yelling, no loud talking, nada, not in the hall outside our room, or in adjacent rooms, or on other balconies.
The hotel and casino were swanky, as they were before. It really is one of the prettiest and "hippest" casino-hotels on the Strip. And again, the location is prime: situated smack dab in the middle of the Strip, with connecting bridges on the second floor to the Miracle Mile shops and Planet Hollywood or to the Crystals shops/Aria hotel. Can't get more central than that!
I wanted to give a shout-out to Dora who initially reached out to me after our first visit here, and to Joey at the front desk who was so incredible in getting us an available room early, and to Emily to called us to make sure everything was ok, and to the guy at the front counter when we checked out (darn it, I don't have his name, but he made the whole check-out process quick and smooth). Not a glitch throughout the whole stay here. It was an A-class place, as we expected it to be from the start. We are now Cosmo converts for life!
