  • When I first heard of a Myopractor I thought, "How different can this be from a chiropractor?" Well let me tell you . . . a lot! I have had my fair share of chiropractors and although the cracks and pops on the table often felt good, the relief was only temporary. In addition, I often thought that chiropractic visits would be a forever thing, especially since every chiropractor I have been to never truly addressed the muscles in the back, spine or neck. So how is a Myopractioner different? Well, Myopractors are trained and knowledgeable in the skeletal system, just like a chiropractor, however, a Myopractor receives additional training specifically regarding the muscular system and its relationship to the entire skeletal system. Apparently, it is all in the hips; align the largest bone in your body, the one that all the others attach to and everything else sort of "falls" into place . . . makes sense to me! Imagine being able to move a rib bone and vertebrae at the same time, relieve pressure in the bones just below the ankle on the arch of the foot or relieve pain and pressure in the elbow or knee. Because of a Myopractor's understanding of these relationships, hours of hands-on training and a foundation in deep tissue massage and muscle stretching, a Myopractor can literally work miracles in a single visit; give him three or four visits and you will never feel better. Can you tell I am sold on the idea? Of course, this gushing testimonial is only possible because of my experiences with Dean at Total Body Myopractics. Dean is perhaps the most down-to earth guy you will meet. His hands work magic and he truly has a gift that is apparent when giving you an adjustment. Every time I visit Dean, we make casual talk while he goes about adjusting, massaging and cracking my bones. Only once before in my life have I had someone find all of my aches, pains and tender trigger points without me telling them where it hurts or how much it hurts, and that was with a masseuse of 40 years experience; Dean is the second person. Yup, Dean will find each spot that aches, adjust it, and relieve the tension and pain, providing relief - even in areas that I did know I hurt! So, why aren't there more Myopractors? Because most people do not know about Myopractics! I mean there is alternative medicine that works for some, and I know a good portion of it is psychosomatic, but I am telling you, this is the real deal - and the proof is in letting Dean adjust you. Myopractic adjustments are by appointment only and you can call or text to book a session or leave a message on the office phone. Trust me, you will leave feeling taller, sitting with better posture and somehow feeling lighter and walking straighter too! And, all of this is done for the bargain price of just $35 a visit. Dean offers frequent visit packages too, just ask; and trust me, do yourself a favor and go see Dean, even if you don't live in the Southeast Valley, it is worth the drive. You will feel so much better and your body will thank you too!
