A little loud but refined decor. Excellent service. An extensive and tasty wine list.
The amuse was a chicken pate that was immensely flavorful and moist. For an app we had the tuna tartar which was solidly flavorful and beautifully presented. The bread is a warm crusty popover (recipe included) that I could eat all day.
For the main course I ordered the ribeye and my date had the filet. The filet was cooked perfectly to the requested temperature and very flavorful and tender. The ribeye was mostly medium rare aa ordered though some of the thinner bits were over done almost burnt. The sides we had were the potato gratin and brussel sprouts. The potatoes were good. The brussel sprouts were the weak point of the evening, they could have used a touch of acidity.
The meal included a chocolate espresso petit four that was top notch.
4 stars for some minor flaws. At the price point I expect perfect. Plus it was hard to converse.
