| - I only rented a car due to their "Highest in rental car customer satisfaction."
This claim is so the opposite.
Arrived at the rental center approximately 8pm. Not one person in the National rental booth. Just a guy standing around by the lobby, who greets us by saying "you a emerald club member?"
Upon check-in I asked what car I would be getting, and he asked me how many pcs of luggage and people will be in the car. I told him 3 bags, 1 stroller, 3 adults and 1 infant.
He gave a smirk and under his breath said "should upgrade to a SUV." I asked if the Chrysler 300 was available. He said "once you get outside you should be able to pick from the aisle"
The website shows under "premium" 5 passengers + 4 luggage. If you do the math, we're under that, so why would we need a SUV?
As we are walking to get our car, the desk agent runs past us to tell something to the person who was directing us to the aisle where our car was. I asked if we could get the Chrysler 300, which was parked near the entrance, she said "no, you have pay extra" which I did. "Premium" states Chrysler 300 or equivalent. After I told her that, she changed her statement to "Sorry, it's already reserved for someone else" Oh really? I made reservations in advance too. She directed us to a Ford Taurus, which had an odor and plenty of trash to go around. Totally unacceptable. (you can see the picture I uploaded).
Not what I expected. I usually rent from Enterprise, but did not have a car we were looking for...
