We don't particularly like Japanese food but saw online that they offer several American dishes and decided to give it a try based on stellar reviews. So we called ahead for reservations at their 5:00 PM opening and were told we would "have to be done in 1 hour" because they had 18 reservations at or around 6:00. That sounded a bit rude but we eat fast and decided that wouldn't be a problem, so we made the reservation and headed over.
You just don't go to a Japanese restaurant for American or Americanized food...that was our mistake and we take full responsibility for that. We started with the pan fried dumplings (pot stickers in Chinese restaurants) and the Chicken Kara-Age, which were both very good. My wife ordered the breaded pork cutlet, which was OK, while I ordered the prime rib-eye, which was a major disappointment...the meat was served cold and very tough and flavorless.
Again, the Japanese food may very well be 5 star but we would not recommend this restaurant for it's American/Americanized food.
