  • Ugh, I hate the cupcakes from A Cookie and A Cupcake. I've tried them twice and man, what a disappointment this place is. A coworker brought them in the first time - yay, free cupcakes! - but the cakes I tried were all completely flavorless and not worth the calories. I threw them both out. The second time I went with my Mom and we bought apple, grasshopper, peanut butter, and sea salt caramel. Again, the cakes were all flavorless - how do you do that with 4 completely different flavors? And the frosting was TERRIBLE - I don't know if it was a whipped frosting or an attempt at buttercream, but it tasted like styrofoam. The only things that actually had flavor were the apple slice and the sea salt that topped two of the cupcakes. Will not try a third time.
