  • - KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO - This would be a four star club if it weren't for a few of their policies. Overall this is a decent club with a friendly front desk staff and trainers, the areas are reasonably clean, and there was some on-site security. I'll continue to go there until my contract runs out, but a renewal is seriously in question. At the risk of sounding like a fool, I need to tell you to be smart during the signup process, else you will run into problems later on that will cost you money, and the billing guy in the administrative office will successfully make you feel like **** if you press him for a refund. My bank phased out my old debit card, and I had forgotten to update it with LVAC. Right away, they charged a $20+ dollar fee. So, be careful - this is just one of the many fees they will hit you with. The salesman I signed up with was friendly, and typically - he did upsell once a month personal training, and other extras for a decent price, but they WILL NOT be up front with information like replacement fees for your card, contract length time, or what happens if you miss a payment, need to downgrade, need to cancel, etc. tl;dr PROS: Decent, well kept club. Clean facilities. Friendly front desk staff. CONS: Administrative staff is less than friendly, sales is not upfront with unpleasantries of policy, very easy to run afoul of costly fees if you let your guard down. When you are signing up: - ASK ABOUT CONTRACT LENGTH, AND IF THERE IS AUTOMATIC RENEWAL AFTERWARDS. - ASK FOR A FULL LIST OF FEES. - ASK WHY YOU CAN'T DOWNGRADE SERVICE WITHOUT A FEE. - ASK WHY THE FEE LIST IS NOT PROMINENTLY PRESENTED - ASK WHAT HAPPENS IF A PAYMENT IS MISSED OR LATE FOR ANY REASON - ASK WHY LVAC FEELS THE NEED TO CHARGE AN IMMEDIATE IN-HOUSE RETURNED CHECK FEE, WHILE OTHER BUSINESSES ARE CONTENT WITH SIMPLY STOPPING SERVICE FOR A MISSED PAYMENT. Also, if the staffer tries to upsell to you, only accept on the condition on a WRITTEN AGREEMENT that you can downgrade or remove options at any time with no fee or penalty - if you are not satisfied with the service. Have it signed by - at minimum, the general manager of the location. I will post a full list of fees on this site soon, so stay tuned.
