| - Bad experience! The hired trainer, seemed to know what he was doing. Way too expensive for a half hour private workout, even on the third time I didn't feel like I was getting my money's worth. The first two "workouts" are assessments, you pay the same for that as a full workout, around a hundred dollars for the two half hours. I didn't bring my paperwork (like 5 forms of health history and waivers) on the first assessment and no one even asked for it. The second time, I remembered my paperwork when I was on my way, I went back to get it and I was "late" coming in, the trainer lectured me about being there early to warm up... I walked there so I was warm, I was late to bring the paperwork back to him, and he didn't care about that. I pay for that time whether I am there "two minutes early or two minutes late." I'm not new to working out, I just needed some help correcting my form, and to maybe learn a few new exersizes, but he didn't listen to why I was there at all.
Anyway, on the third workout (which is technically the first workout) I was harassed again for how I signed one of my 5 waivers, I put a mark next to a couple of boxes because I want to watch out for a few symptoms, and he demanded that I go to the doctor and have him sign something saying I can work out - wtf! My doctor would laugh in my face, I've never had a health issue that has prevented me from working out- ever. I signed the form, his liability was released, and, according to the verbiage on the sheet, only if I checked the 'yes' box I would need a doctor waiver, I did not check 'yes'. Doctor visit = copay+my time away from work, and there was no way I was going to spend more time and money on this place when I was already feeling dissatisfied with the service I was getting for my money.
I told him I would refill out the form, but he wouldn't accept that, then he told me I would have a heart attack. Yeah, he really did that, because HE had a heart attack, admitted to me that he was on too many meds and worked out too hard, not my problem, his problem. I don't take any meds, I eat healthy, and I don't workout too hard. I know I am healthy. I do not recommend this place at all. I was accused of having health issues when I don't! If you go here, maybe you won't be harassed with texts and calls about how you filled out the numerous liability waivers, but I was.
Yelp removed my original review because "because it contains personal attacks". I have rewritten this review removing any "personal attacks." He is his business, and if he feels personally attacked because of my review, he should have treated me better when I attempted to work with him. My experience is just as useful to the Yelp community as the other two reviews on here.
In regards to Troy J's review of my review, I don't expect free, I expect to get what I pay for, and I did not pay to be harassed. Also, $25 sessions were never offered to me, so how would I know to ask for that?? You and the owner must be close friends :-) Curious as to why a business that has been around for over a year only has three reviews... does Yelp keep removing the negative reviews for this place? That would defeat the whole purpose of Yelping.
