Popped my Chattime cherry last weekend. I was very tempted to try out this last few times but then was discouraged seeing the long lineup that extended to street. I wasn't gonna have that in the cold winter, So once the weather warmed up, I headed right over to this joint with my friends.
The lineup was still long but I didn't have to wait outside. It made a U-shape inside to fit the max amount of people this place can accommodate. I'm not a patient person but I suppose people thought the waiting experience was "cool and hip". And that by participating in the line, they are also "cool and chip", just like they are eagerly waiting outside of a club. How very vanilla.
It took us a good 20-30 mintues before we got served. The price for their bubble tea is very standard compared to market rate. I had their Red Bean Grean Tea (#4 on the menu) with less sugar and less ice. My friends were excited that they can customize the amount of sugar and ice used in their drinks. I thought, well, in other places, you may also elect to have less or more ice. I suppose it is an advantage to select the amount of sugar used in your drink. I'm not sure if that's a MAJOR PERK though since the lineup was pretty long and you don't get any sit down experience.
