I purchased my wedding dress here last August and have not been happy with the experience to date.
I ended up purchasing my dress here by chance, having found the perfect wedding dress on display. My initial experience here was positive; the service was decent and I was given a clear timeline that the dress in my size would arrive in store in six months time and I paid for the dress in full up front ($1650).
The dress in reality took nine full months to arrive in store. The first time I inquired about the dress, I was told not to worry that the dress would be in that week. The next week arrived and the dress did not and when I inquired a second time, the staff was extremely rude. They also refused to call the designer to check the order status and I had to phone them myself. I was also informed rudely three different times that the dress needed to be paid in full before I tried it on when it came in. The dress had been paid in full in August.
When the dress finally arrived (a full three months later than expected), they were over an hour late or the appointment that I had scheduled to try the dress on. The service was mediocre at best and I felt as though they were trying to nickel and dime me into purchasing other accessories and even tried to charge $20 for a garment bag for me to take the dress home.
Also the seamstress who works out of Jolie and does the alterations rarely works on site and it has made it impossible for me to have my alterations done. I have had to make arrangement on my own.
All in all I felt that while they were taking my money, the service was good but once the dress was paid for in full, the good service ended. Fortunately my wedding is in the Fall, although my mother made a special trip to Toronto to see the dress and almost missed out. After my experience, I would not recommend Jolie Bridal to other brides. On short, poor service and a big headache instead of what should have been a good experience.
