This company is the very definition of a "shady contractor." My home insurance company sent me to these guys to fix my heater in early December. After a few no-shows and rescheduling; one contractor finally showed and blamed it on a board for the outside air unit then left. After a couple more no-shows, someone finally came and went directly to the air handler in my attic. His diagnosis was a bad blower motor. Seems legit. However, he broke my thermostat since there was no longer any power to any of them. After a few weeks, a technician came to replace the blower motor (this was now mid-January) and said it was working. However, no power to any thermostat. After looking in the attic, he blamed it on a blown zone controller unit; something that the home warranty company doesn't cover. Thy would not return my calls to get them to come out to fix what they had broken.
So, I went and hired a good HVAC technician that was recommended to us. He went up in the attic and discovered that the wiring was wrong after pulling up the schematic. The thermostats were working within an hour. There was nothing wrong with the zone controller unit. This contractor didn't want to properly diagnose the issue and blamed it immediately on a working part. I'm not even sure the blower motor was broken to begin with since this house is a newer build.
Don't go with these guys. They will blame the problem on random parts that are working fine in attempt to get money out of you.
I am both fortunate and unfortunate to call a competent contractor to fix their mess. Fortunate that my problem was properly fixed. Unfortunate because I have nothing for a Registrar of Contractors investigator to see because it's fixed. My recommendation for anyone that has been taken advantage of by this company is to file a complaint with the Registrar of Contractors. They can actually do something about their license to operate.
