Okay so I did not get a tattoo here I just went in for a consultation and I want to make that clear before writing my review. Okay so now onto my review. So I'm very new to tattoos and have been looking for a shop to get my first one in. I wanted one that was sanitary and safe since being 100% safe from diseases is my top priority. Well I passed this shop while walking in the Miracle Mile Shops and thought I'd go in and give it a look. For me the artists were very distant and would not approach me at all to ask if I needed any assistance or had any questions (they loved the ladies though). Finally after standing around like an idiot for the better part of 15 minutes I walked over and talked to one. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, what colors (simple black and grey) and the size. The image was nothing complicated just the Abney Park logo (because Steampunk is a huge part of my life) and like I said it was just going to be simple black. The size is not too big since it is my first so only about the size of a softball maybe bigger. He quoted me an outrageous price something close to thievery. For a tiny piece with no color other than base black he wanted almost $600 for it. I walked straight out the store. They also only have two tattoo chairs and they are right next to the window so people will watch you get tattooed. I just thought the price was outrageous for a piece that wouldn't have taken more than an hour. The artist was incredibly nice and did listen to me though.
