  • "Why not have lunch at the VA?" I told my husband Ron. We had to grab a couple things at the commissary. We proveeded to the Patriot Canteen located in the VA hospital. There were several food stations, deli sandwiches to order, salad bar and soups, hot chicken cooked in different ways and a buffet with meat, mashed potatoes and more. Our lunch totalled $11 with a bag of chips included. My veggie wrap was made fresh and tasted very good. My hubby's Club was tasty and loaded with turkey. Overall an excellent lunch value, and so l give the VA canteen a high 5 star!
