  • I love me some Ikea! It is affordable, has the ability to inspire you and allows me to be organized on the cheap. I wouldn't normally write a review for such a big box store, but recently, Ikea saved me a lot of grief and provided me with a lot of happiness. I live in a tiny little space with the smallest kitchen ever. Given that it was built in the 1920's, this makes sense, but I need counter space! I have been researching how to create a drop leaf counter. I was headed to Home Depot, when I figured I might as well try out Ikea although I hadn't found much on their website. One of the lovely staff members listened to my dilemma, and took me right to an awesome drop leaf table that I would be able to use! And it was only $30! Other tips: I prefer to go on non-weekends to avoid the slow masses who stare at the models like they've never seen a well organized space. They also charge for bags, so just remember to bring your own.
