| - To borrow a sports theme, the food at this place is hit-or-miss.
I got the BBQ Sampler, and while the sausage was awesome and had a nice snap, the brisket was absolutely horrible (chewy/rubbery and only took a couple bites). Smoked turkey, ribs and pulled pork were above-average, as was the sauce. It also included a unique, tasty slaw (had sundried tomatoes and feta cheese) and "Nightmare Chili," which more resembled Brunswick Stew (had a smokey flavor and pulled pork).
To reinforce the whole "inconsistency" theme, one person in my party got the meatloaf and scarfed it down, but didn't eat the onion rings. Another loved their sandwich, but hated the slaw. And my wife liked her slaw, but didn't even eat half her veggie wrap.
Still, in the end, it was great to experience the place and memorabilia and stuff as seen in "Man vs. Food." Service was awesome, prices were fair and I'd give them 3.5 stars overall (but probably a tad more toward 3 than 4).
