Maybe my expectations were too high? I'll start with the pros: comfortable atmosphere, cute decor reminiscent of summertime in a lovely cottage near the seashore (this is MY opinion), prompt service, extensive menu of options..
I just thought the food was eh. Went here for breakfast on a rainy Saturday and ordered the simple good morning eggs. Although, from the title, I guess I should have known what I was getting myself into. However, the eggs came out cold and the cheese hardly melted on top. I could have sent it back but I hate being one of those people so I trudged though it. I was looking forward to a hearty meal but was left unsatisfied and still hungry. I don't expect to have to eat the toast to fill me up. If that were the case, I should have stayed home. One caveat, I also don't eat bacon. The coffee was nothing to write home about either.
My boyfriend ordered the cinnamon buckwheat pancakes, which he enjoyed and was more than a decent portion size.
I would return possibly for lunch or dinner and give this place another chance. The other menu options look awesome and if the taste follows suite, I will re-review. The market downstairs also looked really cute with to-go meals or quick bite on the run. I'll be back!
