This was one of the most disappointing things we have done on all of the trips we've taken. We paid premium prices for the Upper Dome seats so we could see the "scenery" on the "Scenic" tour only to be faced with looking through windows that were so filthy everything looked dingy even in the bright sunshine. No food or drink is allowed on the train so we were given one package of peanut butter crackers and one bottle of water each. They were very careful to make sure only those who got on at the last stop were give these refreshment.
There was no one on board providing any information on anything we were seeing such as the history of the communities of Jaite or Boston Mill. One trainman pointed out an eagles nest and that was the total extent of information provided.
There were no towels to dry your hands in the lavatories, either the men's or women's. And the urinal in the men's toilet was out of order.
I highly recommend skipping this train ride completely. It's not worth the price of the ticket.
