| - Open air seating area for beautiful days?? I LOVE this place!
The service is a little slow (I'm judging based on my one and only visit), but my drink was finished (an iced raspberry ivory mocha) and we had to wait about five minutes for the boyfriends drink (a blueberry pomegranate smoothie) to be made. That didn't matter - I was too busy scoping out the rest of the place to really notice.
There is a lot of seating available and it looked techie laptop friendly as I saw about three individuals sitting at the bar area working away feverishly on whatever it is was they were doing. And there were also people working at the tables that lined the wall. I'll definitely have to check this place out on one of my work-from-home days.
While we visited on a spring/summery day - I was please to see they also have a fireplace, totally cozy and inviting and would love to experience this coffee house on a fall evening, sipping a latte and reading a good book by the fire.
I'll admit I was totally confused while ordering, Starbucks has forever ruined me. I didn't know if I could ask for skim milk, or if they called it something fancier (like non-fat at SBux), and I was also unable to quickly locate a list of syrups available. Then I realized the sign was right in front of my face, well a bit off to the side, but still in the general ordering area. By the time I located the list, I had already ordered raspberry, since I had seen a picture of a delicious looking beverage on Yelp, so I just went with it. But, you better believe I'll be ordering drinks with brown sugar cinnamon and peanut butter syrups next time... and oh, they have toasted marshmallow syrup!! So excited to try that one. I know, I'm easily amused and excited, I can't help it.
The bevvy I ordered, was alright - the ivory mocha kinda congealed together at the bottom - but after some mixing it was better. The boy toy's smoothie was heavenly though! Yummie.
Sad that I waited so long to pay Erie Island a visit, but I'm a fan now!
