I must say today's visit was a show of poor customer service by the front clerk Rachel. Our appointment was for 8:00 am. We arrived early at 7:30. I know very early, but we are early birds.
She opened the door to let another employee in and promptly told us that they do not open until 8:00 and that we would have to wait outside.
Would it have killed them to let us inside in the air conditioning with our dog to wait in comfort? It is July in Arizona! Now, I understand we are early, but if you don't let us in until 8:00 and our appointment is at 8:00, it kind of sets the tone for the whole day of running late on appointments. Not to mention, it was a complete lack of positive customer service.
Now, with that being said, the rest of our appointment went very well. The tech was very nice and the doctor was great. It just rubbed us the wrong way that we were forced to wait outside. And we were not alone! There were other customers waiting outside as well.
For future, I would recommend offering to let the customers and their pets wait inside and politely explain that you cannot help them until you are ready at 8:00. It's the small things like this that leave a lasting impression! I do like this vet hospital and I will continue to go here, but for this experience I have to give 1 star only.
