| - Another flight school @ KSDL dropped the ball on my training in a big way, doing things like forgetting to certify my IACRA, etc. I had a checkride scheduled and decided I wasn't gonna be ready for it with that school. I called Myron at Southwest and he put a plan together most expeditiously. I like Myron-he's chill but professional, super competent. The admin side of things at SWFC run flawlessly. They have good airplanes, too, a lot of them, and a big maint staff. Jim Terpstra checked me off for solo and I didn't see him again after that, but I expect things would have gone well with him. Wayne Pratt was my instructor from first CC solo to checkride. Wayne knows more about the physics and engineering aspects of flight than you need to know--he's an incredible resource. As an instructor, I can't say anything other than a real pleasure to fly with--he's done this so much, he knows what to say and when to say it, to get your kinks ironed out. I absolutely crushed the checkride. Southwest Flight Center is a great school, with great people, and great airplanes.
