When it comes to farms who know how to tailor to different age groups Downey's farm should be right up there with the others across the GTA. Anyone growing up in Caledon or Brampton has hopefully heard of the farm, they've been around ever since I myself was a child and it's nice to see them flourishing to this day still.
After so many years I decided to finally pay a visit last weekend to check out the PumpkinFest and see what the place looked like after all these years. I can say that the farm definitely caters more to children and families as a whole, so a heads up on that! Also, admission to get into the area where the actual PumpkinFest is cost $14 dollars for adults, kind of steep imo, but was worth it once we got to check out the goats and sheep and feed them. Tip: get dried corn from the corn maze area to use as feed for the sheeps/goats - they'll love it and it won't cost you anything!
The other part of Downey's farm that's worth checking out besides the PumpkinFest area is the bakery/winery area at the front. The food quality is top notch and worth the trip alone just for that. Others have mentioned sampling their doughnuts - I definitely second that as well.
Overall Downey's farm has a bit of everything for everyone right now, it definitely has a lot more for kids, but adults can find fun here to as long as they remember to stay young at heart haha.
