Verrrry interesting place! I kept hearing about it non-stop and finally made it by to see what all the talk was about. It's so hard to describe but it's a unique food shopping experience.
Pricey: yes. But not to fear, there is a certain hustle and bustle about the place augmented by the fact that they are well staffed. Half of the store is a full service deli and sweets bakery where things are cut, prepared or practically made to order. They have a delicious looking array of meats to choose from and plenty of pre-made foods to build a plate out of. There are barrels full of coffee beans for the working man or woman to pan through and pick out their faves. Nearby there is a candy section for the kids to pick out weigh their addiction too!
The store has a sort of warm, home-life feel. They play some exquisite classical tunes on the speaker much louder than what you hear elsewhere which really helps set the mood. Around the walls atop the aisles you'll find accenting wall sconces and interior decor that's classy bordering on pretentious. They have build-your-own 6-pack and a great wine selection. It's a unique sort of place and hard to describe by comparing to any other grocery stores out there. You just have to see it to believe it!
