  • Imagining a perfect meal with a man I love - this place would top the list if steak was the craving. On this visit I was with my Mom and we were treated like the Queens we are. This place is in Old Vegas in the cellar of The Four Queens Casino and has been around forever, or so I hear. This place was recommended by a friend who ventures to Vegas quite often and suggested it as one of our splurge evenings. And splurge we did... How classic to offer every lady a rose as we walk in the door, an add on that made me giddy and smiley the minute I walked in the door. It makes a lady feel special. The menu is Old World Steakhouse, no surprises here, steak, seafood, salads and everything you would expect from a Steakhouse. The choice for the evening: Table-side Salad - romaine lettuce, peeled tomato wedges, marinated artichokes, sliced mushrooms, blue cheese crumbles, toasted croutons, crushed eggs, red onions and bay shrimp. Escargot En Croute - Six plump escargots sauteed in shallots, garlic, burgundy wine, fine herbs and topped with puff pastry. Palate Cleanser - Raspberry Sorbet - A refreshing sorbet before steak time! Filet de Boeuf - Atlantis - A ten ounce filet wrapped in bacon served on a bed of lump crab with Bearnaise sauce. Included dessert - Chocolate covered fruit, strawberries, figs, and apricots. The table side salad was a fun experience. A sweet man presents himself with a cart full of fresh ingredients and asks how you want your custom salad. He makes your salad with flare and finesse. The honey walnut vinaigrette was unique and gave a kick to the exceptional salad. My first experience with Escargot and I have to say, may I have another. I always thought Escargot would be gross which is a total error on my part, they were salty, rich and buttery. A squeeze of lemon and I was in utter heaven. Jenn + Escargot = Happiness. Now if only I had someone feeding them to me... The Filet de Boeuf was cooked to my requested temperature, medium with crispy bacon encrusting the outside. A ten oz. filet is a huge portion and I was pleased to take each succulent bite and sop up the Bearnaise sauce on the way to my mouth. The crab claws were buttery and cooked nicely and I loved sucking every last drop from each claw (sorry, no picture of this, I know you want one). A menu doesn't need to be complicated when you can execute a steak this perfect with the right amount of seasoning. Your meal comes with chocolate dipped fruit, which we took to go since we were both stuffed with the best steak of our lives. If you so desire, you may order additional desserts, one of which is Banana's Foster flambĂ©ed table-side. If I was hungry, this would have been my additional dessert of the night. Service was impeccable and I wanted for nothing the entire evening. My mind was read without me knowing it. Dinner was paced well and everyone was attentive to our needs at every turn. Well worth the splurge anytime.
