Geeks Mania is a rarity these days. The fad of arcade gaming has long since passed in the United States and it's bizarre museums like this that keep these classic games from ending up in collector's basements or worse, landfills.
Geek's Mania costs $15 dollars for a day pass (no quarters are used here except for the pinball machines) which may seem pretty steep, but games were designed with a steep difficulty to steal all the pocket change they could. The pro is that you can play all the games you want and complete them without fear of death or depleting quarters. The con is if you just wanted to play a few rounds a Galaga, you'll have to shell out $15 even if you only planned on spending $2.
Geeks Mania is a good time. It has an interesting selection and the no-coin system is great for both novices and masters looking to hone their skills. The only issue I found with the place was playing so long my hand cramped.
