I'm not quite sure why this place has such good reviews. Maybe it is under new ownership since the last one.
I was at the 5th Avenue Cafe this morning (my first visit) for a breakfast meeting and it was one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. The staff sat around talking with each other and anytime we asked for anything, like wanting to order or get refills, it was as though we were ruining their day. The fruit we were given was rotten and the staff didn't seem to care that it was rancid.
The place seems dirty, the walls were filthy and my water glass was either very old or dirty. After the meeting I went to the ladies room and it smelled horrible and I noticed, just in time, that there was fecal matter all over the toilet.
This place is in desparate need of some rejuvenation, some attitude adjustments and just some overall care. Needless to say, I won't be back ever and I won't be recommending this place to anyone. There are too many good restaurants in this area if you are considering this place I would suggest you go else where.
