Fabulous facility! I am a curling newbie. I bought a Groupon for "Learn to Curl" and attended the class this past Saturday. I have to admit, I never thought curling looks like much of a sport. I always joke that curling is my only chance in ever making it to a Olympic game (as a competitor) - well, I better rethink that!
The class itself was very economical even without a Groupon - and their website is super easy to navigate for registration and for other info (membership, 4-week curling series for beginners etc). For $25 you get to spend 2(+) hours on ice and learn the basics of curling.
The instructors (all volunteers from the non-profit club) were super kind and patient. The facility is great - do dress accordingly and think about wearing gloves and hat if you are not cold-weather friendly. They have a great main room ("warm room") with a bar and table games. Nice big viewing area looking onto the ice for those who prefer to sit out.
I had fun, and 2 days later I'm still sore everywhere - guess curling is a sport afterall! And sadly I also think that my Olympic dream will remain a dream...
