As a proud alumni of John Carroll I love going back to visit this beautiful campus! I'm not telling my age so let's just say I graduated some time ago.. I remember living in campus and enjoying all that their res life program has to offer. As a freshman I took advantage of the programs and as an upperclassman I helped plan them as an RA! The Student Union Programming Board also did a great job of planning campus wide events and making sure to be inclusive of all cultures and beliefs! I love that is a Jesuit institution and truly did teach me to be a (man) woman for others! The offices and professors here went above and beyond to make sure learning didn't stop when classes ended. I had great mentors and professors that reached out to me from time to time to make sure I was well adjusted. I was a sociology major and the people in that department are some who I still refer to as those that help mode my beliefs. This school gave me great opportunities to give back to others and be involved in the community that surrounded us.
Now on to the campus! When you get on campus it kinda feels like a completely different world. Your a part of a greater community and can get lost in the beautiful landscaping. I love the addition of adirondack chairs around campus that encourages people to hang out in the grassy areas. As an alumni I'm still very involved and encourages anyone who is interested to apply. JCU isn't just a college, it's a beginning to the rest of your life!
