Being from NYC I consider myself a fairly decent fashionista. When I walked into Amber J boutique I was not impressed with the hand me downs disclosed as vintage apparels. But I made a trip across town to look. So I decided to take a moment and dig around through this disarray of textiles. After about 45 minutes I actually was surprised to see a decent moss green muffy. It was priced a bit high at 150.00 but I liked it and needed something to match my jacket for a trip to LA. I purchased it and packed in my bag the next day. I was actually really excited to wear it but when I put my hands in there was a slimy substance inside. I quickly removed my hand only to find this brown substance all over my fingers. I was mortified! And that wasn't totally the worst part as gross as it was. When I returned it to the store I was met by the owner Amber and she was less than accepting to my very valid complaint. She refused to give me my money back or even a store credit! She explained that there are NO returns under any circumstances. Since the fabric was brittle my dry cleaner refused to touch it. So I was stuck with throwing it away as it wasn't even fit for donation. I will Never go back to that store again and I highly suggest anyone with a true value for fine vintage pieces to not waste time on this place full of yard sale finds.
