  • Queen & King has evolved into my new go-to nail shop. (And I've been through quite a few shops since arriving in Vegas last year.) David's greeting & managing is solidly focused upon customer service. He's got his expert eye on the floor at all times. ALL times. (Except when he is on vacation in SE Asia, as he is right now, lol.) The quality of work here is quite good. I am finding my gel mani is lasting looking good going well into the third week, versus two weeks at most of my prior shops. And the prices are at least fair, if not better than that. So far I've had Hannah, Tommy and Mr. T as pedi & gel mani techs. All of them, again, did very good work. David just took over this shop about eight months ago. So the volume of clientele that will result for this level of product & service is not totally built-in to his book yet. Which is why my wait time as a walk-in aiming for the best techs remains very low. I suppose this means I am saying goodbye to my prior go-to shop, NewStyle, over at 215 & Green Valley. The work there is good, not knocking that one bit. When it first opened, I didn't have to wait long as a walk-in to get assigned one of the better techs. But now Jenny's business is grown, due to its quality, so they now have a full book of established clients for the top techs. Good for them. But as a walk-in I started pulling the techs with whom no one was making appointments. Not good for me. Now that's MY shortcoming, really, that I am bad at making appointments for hair or nails (and for turning up too close to closing time). So my prior recommendation for NewStyle DOES stand ... IF you pick one of the stronger techs AND make an appointment. I liked all those NewStyle folk and I'll miss them. Queen & King, easy to find, in the mall at the NE corner of Horizon & Eastern, on the side facing Eastern. See you there.
