  • My girl and I went to Sambalatte Torrefazione yesterday. I would have to say it is our favorite spot for sitting and enjoying some nice coffee. (Side note "Torrefazione" means, roaster or toasted or coffee roaster depending on where you look, but you get the idea.) I got there early and decided to get the cheese plate for us, as she's always wanting it but never gets it so I thought it would be a nice surprise. Turns out the cheese plate rocks it. We got the one with the Blue cheese, Brie, Swiss and I think it was Manchego or a Gruyère, not too sure, both seem to have the same kind of bite to the palate to me. It came with a side dish of a few crackers and toasted bread, some walnuts, grapes, blackberries and dried cranberries. The Cheese was fresh and they were good cheeses, great strong flavors to compliment on the coffees taste. (I uploaded a pic of it.) I have to give this place 5 stars, as We go there a lot and never have had any problems, they generally in the evenings seem to have some musician(s) there, last night was a girl singing with guitar and she was really good. The other day was a small group, 1 female vocalist, 1 vocal/guitar player and a cellist (The cellist rocked it by the way.) The staff is always very nice and they recognize my girl and know her name since she is always going there and has been since shortly after they opened. Lately it has been a little more crowded, and they added extra seating which at times makes it seem "tighter" in there but all in all it is an awesome place and all there coffees rock it. I keep trying new flavors have yet to have anything that did not taste good and you really can tell the differences in brews. The regular large coffees are 2.50 (various flavors) the cheese plate was 12.00. Seriously not bad pricing in this place. Hope some of you give it a try, it is well worth the visit. (Side note get there a little earlier if you plan to meet someone, the parking in that shopping area is hectic and sometimes hard to find a spot.) Best Regards, James
