| - Loved this place before, now that it's all redone, I'm a little concerned. It seems like there was absolutely no staff training, and if there was they don't care about customer service at all. We sat at the bar, wanted to get a couple appetizers with drinks and the bartender didn't give us menus or water without us asking for them... because he said "it's hard to tell who comes and goes." Which, understandable, but it wasn't busy. Then we asked how the smoked salmon came, wondering if we should share it, the bartender said "I'm not sure, we're new so I don't know" then turned around and walked away, without asking anyone or coming back to us with an answer.. he wasn't wearing black so I'm guessing he was a manager, which seems odd to be a manager and be that rude to your customers and basically ignore them. He also asked us if we were done at the end, I said "yes" and he didn't bring us the check, we had to wait for him to come back to us after 15 minutes to ask for it. Now I love Broach, but having the bartender walk around with a giant ego, and not care about the customers or the menu at all does not work well for the new appearance of the restaurant. Sad.
