We were urged by a lot of locals to eat here. We have had some amazing Mexican food since moving here. Not so at the Tee Pee.
The tortilla chips were stale. The salsa had cucumbers in it. It was bland. The food tasted old- like it had be reheated 3 times and steam tabled for a while. It was hot but tasted old.
The beans on the tostada were tasteless. The beef in the taco was ridiculously salty. The quality of food was lesser than that of Taco Bell. Greasy.
Not sure why this is a favorite other than nostalgia. They need a menu reboot. Big time. The food just tastes like the cooks are bored. The recipes are tired. If you haven't been eating there since childhood- don't start now. The wait staff is nice. Food came out quickly. Those are the only positives.
